I was never sure
Never sure what to do with my time
I never had enough
It slipped away like rain down the gutter

Then the Smog rolled in
I'm always unsure
I have all the time in world
And nothing to spend it on

All of it is gone now

Why do I persist in living?
Why not yield to death?
Why resist the madness?
Why not give up sanity?

I built my house on the sand
My soul-anchor did not hold
Did not hold in the storms of life
Unsure and un-stedfast, my shattered anchor floats free

Or maybe that's the whole world now
I don't know
If anyone is out there, I want you to know that I'm scared. Bloody terrified. Over.
