Jar is a binary system and a major capital area for the Karalian Empire. Jar I is a class G star with seven planets and Jar II is a red dwarf with no planets. Quite similar to the star 55 Cancri, Jar I is enriched with an abundance of metals making it an ideal target for colonization. Jar II orbits the system at a distant 1070 AU.
Planets and features
Volkoth is a planet orbitting so close to its star that its entire surface is covered in lava. Despite being tidally locked, unlike the planet Yolkor, Volkoth is close enough so that convection currents also begin melting the nightside as well.
- Main article: Mossoon
Mossoon is a greenhouse planet in the inner life zone. It has an exotic ecosystem of electrosynthetic life forms - the fauna is capable to harnessing the power of electricity to generate sugars. Mossoon's orbit is unusually elliptical for a habitable planet and varies greatly in temperature.
- Main article: Jaran
Jaran is a major capital area rich with both fossil fuels and deuterium. Life barely clings onto this dying planet. A meteor strike 300 million years ago has caused a climate shift so massive that it wiped out 95% of all species. The oceans evaporated, eventually freezing into the planet's polar ice caps. Today, the planet is covered largely in barren rock, and is on the verge of becoming a Martian iron oxide desert.
Ordos is Jaran's desert moon. It is uninhabitable, too small to sustain an atmosphere. However, it is mined for resources such as iron.
A rather large dwarf planet found within the system's asteroid belt. Worfin is a major source of iridium for the DFM.
A gas giant about twice the size of Jupiter. Quarzik is a rich source of helium-3. The planet is also known for its impressive ring system.
A cold gas giant with vertical ring system. It was believed that much like the planet Uranus in the Sol system, Serunos was knocked on its side by a large meteor impact.
